Plain-English terms of service.

1. Who we are

Fair Deals Auto Repairs ("we", "us", "our") provides in-person visual vehicle inspections by appointment in Toronto, the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding Ontario, and connects customers with independent partner shops when repairs or maintenance are needed. 2. Booking, rescheduling and cancellations

• Appointment only: All inspections are by appointment only. We do not offer walk-in service.
• How to book: You can request an appointment by WhatsApp or phone at (647) 624-1796 or by email at contact@fairdealsauto.ca. Your appointment is confirmed once we agree on a date, time and meeting location by message, call or email.
• Rescheduling and no-shows: If you need to reschedule or cancel, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance (or as soon as possible) so we can adjust our route. If a vehicle is unavailable, unsafe to inspect, or no one is present at the agreed time and place, we may need to cancel or reschedule the appointment.

3. Inspection scope and important limitations

• Visual, non-invasive check: Our inspection is a visual, non-invasive assessment of visible components accessible at the time of the appointment—such as body and frame rust, visible brake and tire condition, fluid leaks, exterior lights, glass, body damage and dash warning lights. We do not dismantle components or open sealed systems during an inspection.
• Not a Safety Standards Certificate: Fair Deals Auto Repairs is not a Ministry of Transportation (MTO) or DriveON licensed inspection station and does not issue Safety Standards Certificates or annual commercial inspection stickers.
• Not a warranty or pass promise: An inspection reports the visible condition of the vehicle at the time we look at it. Hidden, intermittent or internal defects may not be visible without teardown. Our inspection is not a warranty against future breakdowns, and no inspection outcome at a licensed DriveON station is ever promised.

4. Pricing and promotions

• Cars, SUVs and pickups: Our standard in-person inspection price is $180 CAD.
• Commercial vehicles: Inspections for commercial and fleet vehicles (including work vans, pickups, box trucks, heavy trucks, trailers, buses, limos and taxis) are quoted separately by vehicle type before you book.
• Promotions: Any promotional offer (such as a seasonal discount) applies only to the vehicle types and booking dates stated on the offer, and ends on the stated expiry date.
• Taxes: Prices are shown in Canadian dollars. While Fair Deals Auto Repairs operates below the federal small-supplier threshold and is not HST-registered, the price shown ($180) is the full amount you pay us for the inspection.

5. Independent partner shops and referral fee disclosure

• Our partner shops do the repairs: Fair Deals Auto Repairs performs inspections and safety inspection prep checks only. Any repair, welding, bodywork, maintenance or servicing is performed by independent partner shops.
• Written quote before any work starts: Before a partner shop begins any repair or service on your vehicle, the shop provides you with a written quote before any work starts.
• No obligation: You are never obligated to use our partner shops. You are welcome to take our inspection findings to any mechanic or shop of your choice.
• Referral fee disclosure: You pay us for the inspection. If you choose to have work done by one of our partner shops, the partner shop also pays Fair Deals Auto Repairs a referral fee.
• Your contract is with the shop: When you authorize repairs at a partner shop, your repair contract, payment and any applicable repair warranty (including your rights under Part VI of Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002 regarding motor vehicle repairs, estimates, authorizations and statutory warranties) are directly between you and that independent repair shop.

6. Pre-purchase and pre-sale checks

If you book a pre-purchase inspection on a used vehicle, our findings are provided to help inform your decision, but the final decision to buy or negotiate the price is yours alone. You are responsible for obtaining the seller's permission for the inspection. If Fair Deals Auto Repairs has any referral or business relationship with the seller or used-car dealer offering the vehicle, we will disclose that relationship to you before conducting the inspection.

7. Photos and information you send us

By sending us vehicle details, photos or videos via WhatsApp or phone, you confirm you have the right to share them so we can evaluate the vehicle and, with your permission, request a quote from a partner shop. We never publish customer vehicle photos online without your permission, and we always blur licence plates and faces. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

8. Limitation of liability

Because our service is a visual, non-invasive inspection, our maximum liability to you for any error or omission in our inspection service itself is limited to the inspection fee you paid to Fair Deals Auto Repairs. Because independent partner shops perform all repair work under their own agreements with you, Fair Deals Auto Repairs is not the repairer of record. Nothing in these Terms limits or waives any non-waivable rights or remedies you have under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002 or other applicable Ontario law.

9. Governing law and contact
